Goodthing Chinese is an early learning site for Chinese reading and handwriting.

Stored on your device

Lesson progress and saved lessons use your browser’s local storage and offline cache. There is no account or cloud sync in this version. Use My Learning to export a backup; clearing browser data can remove your progress.

What is sent to the service

Your browser requests published lessons, audio and stroke guides. Text typed into the handwriting tool is processed on your device; requests for individual stroke guides include the character. Public learning actions do not call an AI generation API. Handwriting strokes are checked locally and are not uploaded.

The app has no advertising or third-party analytics scripts and does not set login cookies. Cloudflare hosts and protects the site and processes ordinary connection information, such as IP addresses and request metadata. This is separate from local learning records.

Offline use

Saving a lesson downloads recordings and learning resources to this browser. Browser storage may be cleared by the device. Print or export material you need to keep.

About this release

Courses and recordings are pilot materials created with AI-assisted editorial tools. They are not a certified school curriculum. No purchases or subscriptions are offered in this version.
