Let me help

放学回家，我先把鞋子放好，妈妈还在门外。妈妈手里拿着东西，不太方便。

After school, I put my shoes away. Mum was still outside the door, with her hands full.

我说：“我来帮忙！”我用手扶住门，让妈妈先进去。然后，我把自己的书包放回原来的地方。

“Let me help!” I said. I held the door for Mum, then put my schoolbag back in its usual place.

妈妈说：“谢谢你。”我很高兴。家里的小事，我也可以帮着做。

“Thank you,” Mum said. I felt happy. I can help with little things at home, too.
